Mirror Magic in Living Spaces

Mirror, Mirror…

& so it is that our homes are adorned with mirrors to reflect our taste, personality and our status.

Mirrors not only bring beauty & utility into our living spaces they also provide an artistic medium for expressing thought & feeling.

A large mirror – wall mounted or leaning (a leaner) can add a whole new dimension to a room visually increasing a small space and lightening an otherwise darker corner.

It is not difficult now to find mirrors for any style of interior. Wood frames have always been ‘out there’ but now the choices are far in advance of previous offerings. There are dark woods, light woods, fruit woods, distressed, painted ….. the list goes on.

Metals abound to suit all interior types – copper, silver & gold being the popular options- beaten, carved, ribbed & often now recycled to give an industrial feel.

A popular trend is to display mirrors in groups (always in odd no’s) – ie: 5 circular, 9 squares, 3 rectangles etc. – a great way of encouraging light to bounce from one frame to another & create multi images. circular mirrors, cluster mirrors

How could we achieve some of our glamorous outcomes without the aid of a cheval or dressing table mirror, heavily lite bathroom mirror or that gorgeous blingy hand mirror?

Mirrors can be fun & funky, shaped to suit our own style or printed with our favourite images.

It is hard to imagine how we ever functioned without a mirror – & the fact is – we hardly ever did. Mirrors are almost as old a humankind itself, the result of an accidental reflection in a still pond. How incredible to think that with one young ladies first experience of seeing an image & realising it was of herself it could take us to where we are today.

And so, at Pendle Village Mill we bring you our own selection of mirrors in our superb showroom. Mirrors chosen as a collection that reflects what we feel our customers will enjoy to meet  the diverse tastes our customers have.

Mirrors can be seen throughout Pendle Village Mill with the main selection displayed in  the lower furniture department. We’re open 7 days a week – so call in & make your home beautiful for Spring at Pendle Village Mill.
